Students must be prepared for the world they will graduate into:
It will be global - almost all businesses are engaged in a global economy to some extent. Today’s student must be prepared for this changing economy. Being able to use technology to link to other cultures will provide a great advantage.
There is more competition for jobs as well as stronger competition when a student finds a job. They must be able to use the lastest technology to stay ahead of their competition.
A more diverse workforce and more diverse world will challenge some students. They are engaged in a diverse school environment but must also be prepared for the diversity they still engage in the business world. Learning other cultures and working on group projects with students in other clutures will better help prepare them for their future.
Critical thinking, innoation, and collaboration are going to be a necessity for success in the business world. Students must develop those skills and be using them as part of their ensure they become a part of their functioning DNA. Technology in the classroom will provide a platform for practicing these skills.
