What is All Risk Insurance policy?
All Risk Insurance policy is a laptop insurance policy provided FREE with selected laptop models purchased at HP Singapore Online Store ONLY. It is an all risk policy that insures against:

What is the difference between the HP Care Pack and All Risk Insurance policy?
HP Care Pack covers warranties provided by HP on technical support for both software and hardware, onsite repair, and any problems with manufacturer's defects. Whereas All Risk Insurance policy is a 12-month insurance policy that protects against accidental damage, theft and lost.

Selected HP/Compaq Notebooks purchased online which are eligible for this program are as below.
FREE Theft & Lost Protector is eligible for online purchases between November 22nd, 2010 and December 31st, 2010 (both dates inclusive) or while stocks last. Purchases and invoices dated prior to or after this timeframe will not be eligible for this promotion.

How do I activate this All Risk Insurance policy?
Step 1. Purchase selected HP/Compaq Notebook under the NDP 2010 Special at the HP Singapore Online Store.
Step 2. Receive your electronic purchase order confirmation via email within 24 hours.
Step 3. Receive your newly purchased laptops within 10 to 14 business days after your order has been processed and payment is received and cleared.
Step 4. Upon receiving your newly purchased laptop, please:- - Download and complete the Activation Slip. Download here
- Mail or email a scanned copy of the following documents:-
- Your Completed Activation Slip
- Delivery Note of your newly purchased laptop
- Your HP Online Store electronic confirmation

Can I claim for loss of laptop when I’m overseas?
No, the All Risk Insurance policy insurance will cover you anywhere in Singapore only.

What should I do when I drop / damage my laptop?
Take a photo of the damaged laptop. The photo is to be attached when you file for a claim. The damaged laptop is to be sent to Hewlett Packard Service Center for assessment. Should the damage not be covered under HP warranty, you should get a letter of assessment from the service center.

What should I do if my laptop is lost or stolen?
Make a police report of the lost / stolen laptop. Attach a copy of the report when filing a claim.

Whom should I inform in the event of a claim?
Please inform your SingCapital Advisor within 24 hours of your lost / damaged laptop. SMS your All Risk Insurance policy details: <your name>, <NRIC> and <contact number>, <damage/lost laptop> to +65 8189 8064. Your SingCapital Advisor will acknowledge receipt of your SMS and send you the claim form in 3 working days.

What settlement will I receive in the event of a total loss?
The insurer’s liability is limited to the original purchase price. On successful claim for a total loss the insurer has several settlement options available. Kindly check with SingCapital on the basis of settlement.

The following terms and conditions apply to FREE Laptop Insurance against loss and theft coverage promotion.
- FREE Laptop Insurance against loss and theft coverage promotion only available for participating models at HP Singapore Online Store.
- Theft & Lost Protector promotion is valid for the online purchases starting from October 8th, 2010 and November 15th, 2010 (both dates inclusive). Purchases and invoices dated prior to or after this timeframe will not be eligible for this promotion.
- Delivery Note and Electronic order confirmation for the newly purchased HP/Compaq Laptop must be provided.
- This promotion is a one-for-one purchase only. FREE Laptop Insurance against loss and theft coverage is per a laptop purchase.
