    Little photobox

The first impression was great as the device looks so stylish and small. I believe the cable uses more space than the sprocket itself. It's so easy to use and prints photos very quickly. You can also edit photos a bit with the same app you use for printing, tho I missed the ability to make a collage, but you can always make it with other app. Also I was expecting that I'll be able to print more pics( as now it is still much cheaper to go and have pics done somewhere else) but in the end of the day, you don't need to go anywhere and have your pictures done with few button presses in few minutes.. Photos in a snap

I have long been someone who takes too many pictures. I usually print out my photos online and have to wait fr them to be delivered via snail mail so a big part of me trying the HP Sprocket was to remove that waiting time. I have tried home printing of photos before a few years ago and was never impressed so I was in two minds of the outcome however I needn't have worried. I wasn't quite sure what to expect so when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised. The sprocket is not much bigger that 2 6x4 photo and is really easy to put together the cartridge is much easier to insert than my normal a4 printer and the paper is neatly packed away so not to get damaged between uses. The Printer works with an app and on downloading the app I found it easy to install and loved the extra features to edit photos within it adding frames, filter and stickers for those fun snaps. The printer fires up really quickly and the photos come out really well they were much more impressive than I would have thought and the way the colours build up on the different times trough the printer always amazes those who watch. All in all I would highly recommend this printer it makes those mobile pictures reality and brings the memories alive in a quick and easy way and for me takes the waiting out of getting prints delivered what more could I ask for pus I go to a lot of events where I am lucky enough to meet some amazing people and to be able to print out a picture or selfie and then have it on hand quickly would be amazing so Im really looking forward to the first events of next year where I will be able to really put it through its paces. Quality not great

I was really excited to try this product but I was left a bit disappointed. I am not sure if I have set it up properly but the quality of our photos are blurry. Apart from that, I think it’s an amazing size, price is reasonable but not the photo quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A Sprocket for my Pocket (almost)

I had never owned a photo printer before this one, always opting to get them printed in a local supermarket, and after using this now for 3 weeks, I can't see myself ever going back to a supermarket to print again! The print quality is fantastic, and the app makes it so easy to create great looking photo collages. Our house has pretty much had a redesign with all these new photos around. My wife works as an animal trainer and operates a boarding service from home, and it has been great to be able to hand out photos to the pet owners when they come to collect. Its compact size makes it super convenient to store away when not needed, although ours has stayed out on a tabletop non-stop because it is used so often! The included paper is good quality, and the ink cartridge is very easy to install and seems to last as long as advertised. A great little printer to have around the house. A decent photo printer

I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review The HP Sprocket Studio print is a new “portable” photo printer from HP which essentially achieves similar goals as its predecessors, the HP Sprocket and the HP sprocket plus photo printers. The goal being to be able to print your photos from your mobile device (digital camera or smartphone) on the go, via Bluetooth. The Sprocket Studio prints one of the largest sizes of all the portable photo printers on the market so far, capable of printing 6x4 inch prints. The photo sizes make for a perfect gift when put in a lovely photo frame. The concept of portability is muddled by this printer, because you have to connect it to mains power supply for you to be able to use the device. Aslo it is noticeably much bigger than its predecessors. It makes use of a photo paper tray (which comes fixed - see photos) and and a cartridge (which is sold bundled with the photo paper). The technology is very much different from the predecessor whose review I still have on my blog at https://pro-blog.chitambira.com. HP says the do have a portable powerbank for this printer, which should be able to make at least 80 prints. Personally I would have loved to have an integrated smaller battery that could print say 20 prints before needing to recharge. In terms of quality, the photo prints are still nothing near the quality of professional photos printed on photographic paper. The quality is comparable to 90s film-based camera photos which were commonly printed on Kodak paper. Some of you may still have such photos in your drawers, so you should rest assured you will get at least something similar from this device. I managed to find some perfect carry cases and also lovely 6x4 photo frames for the printer on amazon, but one may use any frames of a similar size from anywhere. Overall, the technology is robust, the printer is very easy to use from an Android, or iOS device. I expect to see much larger prints with this technology in the future, and with the printer size remaining the same. There is a lot of unused real estate with this model, you can see the tray is not even made the same width as the length of the printer body. Personally, I am happy with the results, the quality is not too shabby, I had been able to print on the go and my folks are happy with the pictures. I look forward to print some more over the festive holidays. Pros: large prints Cons: Chunky size [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
